CHAPTER ONE
no rest for the wicked

Revelation 6:8 "I looked, and there was a pale horse! It's rider's name was Death, and Hell followed him. They were given power over one-fourth of the earth to kill people using wars, famines, plagues, and the wild animals on the earth."

and death was just the beginning.

it was everybody's worst fear. something so tragic, evacuation was a must. in the year 2028, a plague has risen up among the united states. a illness that the world hasn't faced before. and the funny thing was, they caused it. a miracle medicine said to improve the way of life went horribly wrong. something called "Retma" would be injected and promised things such as elemental power, increased intelligence and a new out look on daily life.
but it destroyed their bodies, their minds, man just couldn't handle it. best friends turned on one another, babies eaten alive, animals and people reduced to maggots slaughtered in the streets. the people went crazy, maddened beyond belief. the whole city went to hell...

most humans on the island of Alty, off the coast of Delaware, listened to the news broadcast and left their homes for haven. they were promised the sickness would end soon, that their homes and pets would be safe until the island was clear. but the canines will soon realize that they'll be here for longer then anyone could imagine. not only were the pets left behind, but the wildlife, and more importantly the infected humans, were left to fend for themselves as well.

the forgotten shall now be the rulers. no gods or kings, only dog. when the pets eventually escaped into the city, they formed packs by natural instinct. but the government, the ones said to control the accident, is cutting off access to the island. their building outposts, a way to keep the things inside "controlled". but how long can the canines fend for themselves? the humans have only been gone for six months, but things are starting to prove difficult. with tensions rising, opposing forces form. who will lead the packs to salvation, and against the onslaught of their infected owners.

we all make choices, but in the end our choices make us.
